A few of you have mentioned in the past that 1714 may have been haunted. Although I dont discount the fact that spirits may exist, I never really understood how you could be freaked out by the experience. I mean how can you worry about something that debatably doesn’t exist if you’ve never experienced it’s existence? That all changed Sunday night. What was otherwise a routine evening of getting to sleep early for the upcoming week, culminated in a few seconds of paralizing fear. At 12:36am my bedroom light inexplicably turned on. Beams of light quickly penetrated my eyelids until my brain could process what had just occurred to wake me out of a deep, peaceful sleep. I mean, how do the lights in your room turn on if no one else is there and you woke up on your back staring upwards at bulbs that have no business being illuminated? I have no answers other than a ghost. It makes no sense, but makes more sense than any other explanation. Now I sleep a little less comfortably, but with the understanding of how others were -and rightfully so - freaked out.
